We would like the concept of blessing to inspire your unique perspective as a visual artist. Blessings are a powerful infusion of affirmation, found through nature, the love and concern of someone, or a spiritual leader. Theologically blessing is about being in God’s care; the One in whom we “live and move and have our being”. When the church gathers one of its primary goals is simply to be reminded of this essential truth. In Christianity specifically the ultimate blessing is found in salvation given through the life, passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
